The 65 members of the National Parliament are elected directly by closed-list proportional representation in one nationwide constituency, using the d’Hondt allocation method. The threshold is 4% of valid votes.
Vote shares are calculated from 568,070 valid national-list votes. 583,956 ballots were cast; 15,886 ballots were outside the valid-vote denominator. Turnout is ballots cast divided by 760,907 registered voters.
All 21 ballot lists reconcile to 568,070 valid votes and 65 seats. Bloku Unidade Popular (PMD–PLPA–PDRT) remains a joint list. CASDT is not treated as the historical ASDT. The threshold rose from 3% in 2012 to 4%; previous-seat counts refer to unchanged parties in the preceding 65-seat national chamber. The old CNE apuramento/public.php link has been reused for 2022 presidential results and is therefore not used as a 2017 source.
