The aggregate result row counts seats filled, not membership of the Communist Party or League of Communists. Votes, share, electoral votes and previous party seats remain null. “Final” refers only to the sourced historical seat outcome, not a recovered final ballot certification. This was a single-party political system; no modern party label or ideology is backfilled. Only 35 seats were filled at this election; the other 35 incumbents were retained. Result seats therefore deliberately fall short of the full 70-seat chamber; retained mandates are not recorded as newly won seats. Under the 1963 system, municipal assembly selection preceded direct citizen voting: 3 and 16 June 1963; 4 and 18 April 1965. The record uses the final direct-vote date where the source distinguishes it. The 1967 account gives 23 April without separate stage dates. In 1969 the Republican Council was directly elected.
